All our employees have the flexibility to choose to work from home or the office, or a mix of both. You will occasionally be asked to attend meetings at our headquarters in the leafy Parc Menai business park near Bangor, North Wales. You will also be required when necessary to work on our physical servers in Bangor and at our Manchester data centre.

The role

A vital member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the systems that deliver data integration services to our clients. This varied role will involve administration, configuration and support for our hardware and software, including servers, storage and networks. You will also have the opportunity to suggest and implement improvements to all aspects of our systems.

We have a relaxed work environment with an emphasis on collaboration. You will be working closely with your colleagues and reporting to our chief technical officer.

Job requirements

You’ll be a recent graduate in a relevant degree such as Computer Sciences, or have one to two years of experience in systems admin. We’re looking for knowledge of areas such as:

  • Linux systems admin, preferably Debian or Debian-based
  • Network services such as ISC DHCP and DNS (BIND9)
  • Apache HTTP Server
  • Certificate management, such as installing SSL and code signing certificates
  • Iptables and nftables
  • Physical network infrastructure maintenance, including firewalls, cabling, switches and routers
  • Physical server maintenance, including installation, monitoring, repair and liaison with Dell Support
  • MS Windows endpoint management, 365 Business Premium and Azure
  • OpenLDAP, OpenSSH and OpenVPN
  • Postfix email services
  • VMWare ESXi.


£25,000 to £32,000 per year.
