Interica and ETL Solutions today announced that they are collaborating to enhance the benefits of Interica’s PARS project archiving and retrieval solution with ETL Solutions’ Transformation Manager. The relationship further expands the scope of both companies to better serve the challenging data management, archiving, and storage requirements of the Oil & Gas industry.

The partnership will enable Interica to provide enhanced support for project aware archiving and backups of Exploration & Production (E&P) data. This will help companies to map and move data from historic versions of E&P applications, stored in Interica’s PARS software solution, to current versions in a seamless transformation using ETL Solutions’ Transformation Manager software.

Interica’s advanced PARS archiving solution allows a company to manage complex digital content for long-term knowledge retention, compliance and storage management. Detailed project metadata is stored within the archive to enable the rapid location and restoration of projects. By integrating ETL Solutions’ software to form a centralised network called DataHub, Interica can migrate many generations of projects to current versions.

In addition, the combination of DataHub and Interica’s Data Repository Solution iAsset allows customers to seamlessly gather real time data. Data is migrated through DataHub to Interica’s data repository solution iAsset.

“The power of Interica PARS archiving lies in its ability to interface with leading E&P applications used by exploration specialists around the world today,” said Chris Bearce, VP Operations at Interica. “We recognise the leading capabilities of ETL Solutions’ Transformation Manager and are committed to offering our customers comprehensive support for the entire data management lifecycle. We also see a major opportunity to work together with ETL Solutions to enable our users to migrate from one platform to another using this joint service,” Bearce stated.

“Our collaboration with ETL Solutions clearly demonstrates both companies commitment to providing state of the art solutions to discover, access, move and protect data and interpretations irrespective of the platforms used for interpretation,” said Simon Kendall CEO of Interica. “This collaboration will also provide a software independent, cost effective, robust methodology, for companies migrating data from legacy software systems to new interpretation systems,” Kendall said.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Interica”, said John Bigerstaff, Managing Director of ETL Solutions. “Our partnership enables our software, which has long-standing application in the Exploration & Production domain, to support a range of new, highly effective solutions for the Oil & Gas industry.”
